There has been strong media interest in the Achieve Your Dreams Expedition.

Backpacker.com; "Faerber, 25, is going about teaching this life lesson in a grand way. He and three buddies embarked on a three-month sea kayak journey September 1, paddling their way 3,200 miles from Gardner, MT to New Orleans, LA. Calling their trip the "Achieve Your Dreams Expedition," they will follow the Yellowstone River to the Missouri River and paddle onward to St. Louis, meeting family and friends. Then it’s on to the Gulf of Mexico via the Mississippi."

The Belfast Telegraph; "Dave Bradley from Belfast set off last month on the mammoth 3,200-mile adventure which will mirror the intrepid voyage of pioneering American explorers Lewis and Clarke. The 21-year-old is travelling with three US friends on the trip - dubbed the "Achieve Your Dreams Expedition" - to raise money for Corrymeela, the Boys and Girls Clubs and the Make-a-Wish foundation in Northern Ireland. The Sept. 6 issue of the Indianapolis Star featured an article by Welton Harris entitled:Adventure will connect kayakers to kids.

The Wabash College Magazine’s SPRING/SUMMER 2000 issue featured a two page article written by Jim Amidon, entitled Achieving His Dreams on Geoff Faerber’s dream to make others’ dreams a reality.

News reporter, Mark Holter, of NBC -TV station KUMV in Williston, North Dakota interviewed AYDE as they entered Lake Sakakawea. On September 25th in Bismarck North Dakota, the kayakers conducted their first multi-media news conference. Jamie Dunnigan, of NBC - TV’s affiliate station KFYR, conducted an unusual on-board-the-kayak interview with Woody Miller. CBS - TV’s KXMB interviewed Geoff on the shore and the Bismarck Tribune’s September 26th paper sported a front page picture and large caption on the Expedition.

Pierre, South Dakota’s Capitol City, welcomed AYDE on October 4th with KCCR’s radio personality Tony Mangen conducting a live broadcast interview. The Capitol Journal also covered their arrival after the guys portaged Lake Oahe Dam.

The Press covered AYDE in Sioux City, Iowa with two reports by NBC-TV affiliate KTIV and the local CBS-TV station, along with a front page article in the Sioux City Journal on Oct. 15.

On Oct. 18th the timing in Omaha, Nebraska was perfect, for two TV crews to film the kayakers paddling up to the Anchor Inn, and the Omaha World Herald also reported in their Oct. 19th edition. However, the best part of the Omaha visit happened when the Boys and Girls Club hooked up with the kayakers.

AYDE paddled ashore in Kansas City on Tuesday, Oct. 24th, and met the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater K.C.on October 25th.

AYDE paddled onto the levee in St. Charles, Mo. Saturday, November 4th and met the St. Charles Boys & Girls Clubs. On Election Day, November 7th, the guys were welcomed to St. Louis, below the Gateway Arch where the entire Churchill School, representitives of The American Youth Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs, friends and family welcomed the kayakers. Interviews followed the reception, with "The voice of St. Louis" KMOX radio, FOX TV's John Pertzborn, the Clayton West-End Word and Metro Media.
